Job Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the BUDGET EXECUTION/METRICS (N813) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience serving as the senior liaison for budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization; Experience directing and/or performing continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization; Experience providing interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution; Experience developing format and content to provide managers with various listings, reports, and data relative to status of funds and the propriety of obligations; Experience ensuring financial integrity, timeliness, accuracy and validity of supporting managerial accounting, budget execution, and financial management reports; Experience coordinating the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization; Experience directing the implementation of approved financial management policies within the organization based on DON policy and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
