Job Summary
You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Military Sealift Command (MSC), Total Force Management Program Office (N1), Financial Management Branch (N13) MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
Job Description
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience working as a Contract Officer Representative (COR) which includes not limited to the development of related course materials that are placed on contracts, draft project guidelines, and statements of work, makes periodic reviews of progress, reviews complete projects, revises materials, reviews invoices in WAWF, and verifies all contract deliverables are accounted for. Experience creating purchase requirements, purchase orders and entering all purchases in the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) financial system including creating service entry sheets and goods receipts as a Government Purchase Card holder. Experience implementing Navy, Coast Guard, Merchant Mariner-based training programs and objectives, as well as a knowledge of administrative requirements for maritime training programs to include a variety of functions such as scheduling and funding courses, researching training requirements, supporting the Center of Excellence training operations, curriculum management, instructor quality control, etc. Experience conducting training needs, assessment, and training gap analysis based on higher level directives and industry standards. Experience developing corrective action plans including mariner training plans and comprehensive strategies at the mariner position, ship program or fleet wide levels, identifying appropriate resources, and developing and implementing identified solutions, tracking and reporting status to management.
