Job Summary
You will serve as a Marine Transportation Specialist in the Operations and Readiness Directorate (N3) of MSCEUR. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Administrating an Anti-terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Program to provide security for marine transportation; 2) Ensuring port security measures are adequate for ships calling on ports by conducting Force Protection Assessments; 3) Identifying security risks that could apply during ship/port interface to mitigate risks; 4) Providing operational and technical guidance to enforce port, vessel and facility security requirements; and 5) Assessing airfield security and submitting Airfield Force Protection Plans (AFPP) for airfields with creditable threats.
