Job Summary

This position is located in the Washington, D.C. and serves as a Program Analyst. The Tribal Self-Governance Program directly affects a large number of Indian tribes. The incumbent is required to exercise practical judgment in applying appropriate principles, techniques, and methodology in policy and program issues. The incumbent applies program knowledge, research and analytical skills, and oral and written communication abilities needed for problem analysis and organizational coordination.

Job Description

GS-12: To qualify at the the GS-12 grade level you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent performing the following: 1) writing reports; 2) coordinating financial data; 3) responding to FOIA requests; 4) performing internal control reviews; and 5) providing policy advice or acting as a policy advisor. GS-13: To qualify at the GS-13 grade level you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing the following: 1) writing grants; 2) negotiating funding agreements; 3) preparing and presenting briefings; and 4) administering funds. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
