Job Description

WHO CAN APPLY: GROUP I - All qualified Male/Female Enlisted Personnel (E1/AB - E8/SMSgt) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Air National Guard Military Technician Program. GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Air National Guard Male/Female Enlisted Personnel (E1/AB - E8/SMSgt) regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period. Group III - Individuals eligible for membership in the Virginia Air National Guard. Military Grades: Enlisted Member (E1/AB - E8/SMSgt) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience providing information and analyses to all levels of management using the assessments to answer the why, how, when and where questions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as: Experience retrieving and analyzing maintenance data, present results to management. Experience controlling, managing and maintaining the Maintenance Information System(s) (MIS). Experience conducting Special Studies to assess Health of the Unit Readiness (HUR) Experience analyzing performance data to determine manpower, equipment, and facilities maintenance capabilities.
