Job Description

WHO CAN APPLY: GROUP I - All qualified Male/Female Enlisted Member (E2/Amn - E6/TSgt) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Air National Guard Military Technician Program. GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Air National Guard Male/Female Enlisted Member (E2/Amn - E6/TSgt) regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period. Group III - Individuals eligible for membership in the Virginia Air National Guard. Military Grades: Enlisted Member (E2/Amn - E6/TSgt) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience or training serving as a Production Controller with responsibilities to include validating, planning, estimating, scheduling and expediting work through the efficient use of personnel and material, supporting all assigned facilities of Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS 7 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as: Experience receiving and reviewing all work requests (oral and written) for validity, accuracy, and feasibility. Experience ensuring proper coordination with outside organizations such as safety, fire, security, communications, occupational health, and environmental. Experience demonstrating expertise of various computer programs and automated systems. Experience ensuring fiscal responsibility by establishing work orders and job orders under the correct organizational funding codes.
