This position serves as the Systems Engineer specializing in Enterprise Data Storage Systems, Storage Area Networks and Data Protection & Recovery technologies on-premises and in cloud data centers.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a relevant degree with a total of 10 years of experience as an Information Technology Professional. Candidates must possess 5 years of experience in the SAN NAS Cloud Storage technologies out of 10 years of experience Must be a US Citizen or LPR on path to US Citizenship. Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactorily completing a criminal history records check (or other applicable security clearance, a pre-employment drug-test) and a probationary period of 2 years. Possess 5+ years of experience in Storage administration of SAN, NAS, Storage and Data Protection technologies, Architectures, Design, Administration and Support of Storage systems in a data center environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Data and Storage system Security, Web Applications, Databases, VMware, Windows, UNIX servers and Kubernetes Containers. Knowledge of Local Area Networks, Wide Area networks, Operating systems, Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) and backup solutions. Knowledge of Network File share Administration CIFS and NFS Knowledge in Cloud Storage connectivity, Tiering to Cloud, such as AWS, Azure etc. Expertise in Enterprise level NetApp, Pure Storage systems/arrays and Cisco MDS SAN switches is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft File NAS. Administration of File share and Windows NTFS Folder and File permissions, access, ACLs in an Active Directory environment Knowledge of data protection software such as Commvault is a plus Ability to develop and deploy customized solutions Certification in Storage Systems is preferred. Knowledge of Automation of Storage administration tasks and jobs using tools Troubleshooting and analytical skills; ability to anticipate and resolve technical problems Ability to develop solutions to complex technical problems. Knowledge of platform specific operating systems and associated products. Knowledge of all phases of projects, systems analysis and administration. Physical Requirements and Work Environment This position requires employee work from Onsite and as determined by CAO from time to time at the discretion of supervisor. This position requires occasional travel and the ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs. This position is in an office setting that is adequately heated, lighted, and ventilated. Normal safety precautions apply. The incumbent must be able to meet physical requirements (lifting, bending, crouching, standing, etc.).
