Job Description
Required Work Experience Five to eight years of progressively responsible professional experience in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies. Required Special Skills/ Knowledge Ability to plan, develop and implement communications and marketing strategies, campaigns and products. Ability to evaluate communications processes, and to research, recommend and implement ways to communicate effectively and efficiently. Ability to integrate various communications vehicles and products into a cohesive system that delivers appropriate messages to appropriate audiences. Knowledge of organizational communications theory and practice. Knowledge of common survey platforms, strategies and analytics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills that will include collaboration with project teams and public speaking and presentations. Ability to write clearly, concisely and to a variety of audiences on a range of issues and topics. Ability to coordinate with the design team in creating graphics to support marketing campaigns. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to edit and proofread at a high level with minimal errors. Ability to track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and Senate staff. Mastery of English grammar, punctuation, spelling and composition. Possesses excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts As part of our hiring process, we may conduct a skills assessment to better understand an applicant’s proficiency in key areas relevant to the role.
