The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Specialty Crops Program (SCP), Specialty Crops Inspection (SCI) Division is responsible for developing U.S. grade standards and providing inspection, grading, certification, and audit-based services nation-wide on a user-fee basis for fresh and processed fruits and vegetables and related products. In this position, you will serve as a grader at an inspection point, processing facility or area office lab.
The incumbent serves as a Data Technician with responsibility for the collecting, compiling, tabulating and summarizing of High Volume Instrument (HVI) classing data as well as manual classing data from all cotton classers and HVIs in the various classing offices. The incumbent is responsible for the generation and distribution of reports, tables, charts, and related data analysis for all types and forms of HVI and manual classing services performed by the Cotton Program.

The Student Trainee (Architect) responsible for supporting staff from the Marketing Services Division and/or the Wholesale Markets and Facility Design Team with several key responsibilities, including providing architectural design assistance, providing research assistance on food hub and related local food distribution work, supporting communications efforts and the work of the Local and Regional Foods Division, and assisting with the layout of the Department's outdoor farmers market.
The incumbent serves as the Deputy Director of the Warehouse and Commodity Management Division and in this capacity shares with the Division Director, and Deputy Administrator the overall responsibility for the administration and coordination of all programs of the Division.
In this position you would help agricultural shippers move products by providing insightful transportation information and analysis, including: market reports, technical assistance, regulatory representation, stakeholder outreach, economic analysis, and responding to inquiries.
This position is located in a regional office Fair Trade Practices Program. You will serve as a Regional Director and share the responsibility for administering the functions of the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA) and Produce Agency Act (PAA) in that area.
The incumbent of this position serves in a supervisory role with the responsibility for coordinating all resource needs for organizational activities related to Science & Technology (S&T) Programs. The incumbent provides advisory guidance to all staff in the areas of responsibility within the programs four divisions.
